A Christmas message

Well I will be missing out on the Queen's Christmas message and I won't be hearing a sermon I can understand. I am feeling a bit sick (no it wasn't the carp, but thanks for asking). The children of the family are running around excited by their new presents. (They got an impressive haul it has to be said). I myself would like some quiet to recover.

What can I say about Christmas? Is it the food? Is it the presents? Is it seeing family? No, of course it is remembering that Jesus came to earth on a rescue mission. He came to save us from those things that we do wrong and to bring us back to God. He was born to a humble girl in a humble cattle stall and laid in a humble manger. He was born knowing that he would face condemnation, scorn and the cross. Yet a day is dawning soon when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If you are reading this and don't know what I'm talking about, have a look at the link on the right "Two ways to live".

Veselý Vanoce. Merry Christmas
