This weekend

Last night we had the local Catholic Bible study here at the family house. I understood absolutely nothing until the end when the bible study was over and we were socialising and eating the Buchti (Czech pastry that I am learning to make). I have a long way to go in language! They left quite late and consequently I didn't get much sleep. Was in the Catholic service this morning, but pretty much asleep!

When I got home I sat on the couch and broke it (well only one wooden board). Hmmm, Ikea couch... This has apparently happened before with other people, including the grandfather. Petr, the father, is pretty good at fixing things so this is not too bad, but very embarrasing!

In the afternoon I went with the family to a ruined castle and walked around the area. Very nice.

This Wednesday I will be helping teach English at the local school.
