The parents of the family I am staying with...

I have shown a photo of the family that I am staying with, but not of the parents. Lida is a very busy mother with 5 children under 14. She manages to organise all our lives and cook wonderful meals, as well as bake fantastic pastries. (I think I have already mentioned this!) She does get help from her mother that lives next door, but even so she does a really great job. She doesn't speak much English, but is able to communicate quite well with me. She is actually learning German with one of the team members, Marianne (Swiss German).

Petr is a real estate agent in Ceske Budejovice. We are getting on very well speaking English and Czech together. He and his father renovated the house that we live in and did a very good job. He is also on the village council and heavily involved with the local Roman Catholic church.

Tuesday and Wenesday night Vojtech (7 months old) did not sleep and kept the parents up. I offered to pray for him to sleep and praise God, he did sleep better on Thursday night.
