Temelín won't produce power till Friday, shuts down 2nd unit

The Austrians are almost always complaining about Temelin, because they think that it is bad technology. The way I understand it Temelin was originally designed by the Soviets, but before it was complete the Iron Curtain fell and the Soviets could no longer fund it. So at some point the Czech Government (maybe Czechoslovakian, but I digress) asked the Americans to step in and complete it. Now I'm not sure about the safety of nuclear power at all, but this was an experiment in how Soviet technology fits with American. From the frequency of breakdowns and problems that it has, I don't think it fits very well at all! And therefore I don't blame the Austrians for complaining...
