Return to Besednice
On Saturday we went to Besednice with my inlaws. This is the village that both Almut and I had lived in when we moved to the Czech Republic. It was a really nice day with several highlights.
- We visited the telecoms tower where I had two years ago asked Almut to marry me.
- We visited the village cemetery, where we heard a classic line from Almut's mother: "There are lots of families here with the name rodina". Well actually the word rodina means family. On most tombstones it said family and then the surname.
- We just enjoyed spending time with this generous, loving family
