Sittting on the train

I (James) had bought a present for a previous Czech language teacher in Hungary, a Hungarian New Testament. As I was coming back from the course in Hungary on the train I felt that I should give this NT to the woman sitting opposite me. These sort of things fill me with dread. Thoughts like "Should I, shouldn't I..." ran through my head. Well I hatched a plan. I will give her the bible when she gets off the train (because I knew I was going further). Well I did give her the NT and she accepted it saying, in English, that she already had a Bible. I can't help but think that I should have actually talked to her properly and give her the NT.
