Church outreach
I go to a church called KS (I'm not really sure what the S stands for, but the K is for Christian). We had a church outreach on Saturday. In the past there seemed to be quite a lot of reluctance to do this sort of thing, but this Saturday there were 15 church members there, very good turnout considering the size of our church probably no more than 25 adults.
A few of us, me included, stayed in our church to pray and the rest went out to a nearby square. The worship band played blocks of 3 songs and followed with some preaching. People didn't seem to want to get too close but there were several people standing at traffic lights listening, and not seeming to take much notice that the lights said they could cross the road. The team talked with some of the passers by, but nothing too in depth.
On Sunday we were very pleased to see a woman there that had never been to our church before with her daughter. Apparently the mother had attended another church a long time ago, but had stopped going for various reasons. Was good to have her with us and very encouraging.
