How to really offend the neighbours

I live in an apartment block called a panelak. On Wednesday morning I was running the bath when I heard a thump, thump, thump on the door and the door bell ring. It seemed that I had managed to not switch the tap properly on and the water was dripping on to the floor and into the downstairs bathroom. I was very apologetic and gave a gift to the neighbours to pacify them (beer donated to me from the Coyans who do not drink). This seemed to calm the situation. It was also a learning experience in language and culture!
