How to really insult women...

On Tuesday night I was in the office late and decided to go down to the classrooms to see if my flatmate was in. Bad idea. I walked into a conversation class about what are your preferences in romantic partners. Janet asked me what I wouldn't like in a woman. I knew I was already on deadly ground. I should have left then. But instead I was foolish enough to answer.

"Well I don't like a woman that tells me what to do all the time", I said, feeling satisfied that I hadn't offended anyone. I took a long time to think about the next one, and was stupid enough to open my mouth.

"I don't like dyed hair", I said. I looked around the classroom and realised that I had at least offended one, if not more women in the class. I tried to dig my way out.

"Of course on some women it looks good". To late, I had just alienated myself from all Czech women in the Czech Republic. I left realising that opening ones mouth is a dangerous business.

The question is James, would you know who has dyed hair and who doesn't?
75% of women dye their hair so I think you are ruling out a lot of people.
Maybe you should say you don't like obviously dyed hair, though actually it is probably better just to keep quiet in moments like that... as I am sure you have discovered....
