Accents

Johanna and Elaine, previous OMers, have been visiting us this week. They used to live with each other when they were in the Czech Republic. The funny thing is that Elaine is from Northen Ireland and has a strong Northern Irish accent and so does Johanna... but she is from Sweden. She has caught it off Elaine!

Apparently Johanna visited Northern Ireland once and went to Stormont (the parliament) for a tour. She was asking lots of questions about Northern Ireland that anyone who lived there would know, but of course she is from Sweden and didn't know. The tour guide probably thought, because she had a Northern Irish accent, she was from Northern Ireland. Johanna didn't explain...
