Erika, bookkeeping and borders...

Erika has come to the Czech Republic to help with the bookkeeping (after a lightning strike destroyed a large part of our bookkeeping from last year).

She is based in Germany but was in Romania for a short term mission trip. She was told that she only needed to take her German ID when she went to Romania. She didn't realise that it was out of date. Her mission team had to try two border crossings to get her into Romania and two to get out!

Almut and I went to pick her up in Austria (her mission team was driving back through Austria to Germany). As we approached the Austrian-Czech border she realised that she had left her German ID in the mission team car. We had to get her across the border without any ID at all! We quickly prayed (others had been praying already because of the out-of-date ID). The Austrians waved us through, and so did the Czechs... Thank you Lord!
