Books James has been reading

I have finished reading Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell. But everyone seems to have read that. Enjoyed it though.

I have also finished reading "Mao: The unknown story" by Jung Chang (the author of Wild Swans) and Jon Halliday. I enjoy reading history, but found this hard going. Not because it was badly written, but because Mao seems to have been quite a nasty man. Chung and Halliday suggest in the book that Mao was a lazy power-grabber who had a taste for violence. It seems he spent all his time trying to maintain and increase his own comfort at any cost to other people.
