New telephone

When I moved into my first rental property in London I got a phone installed by Cable & Wireless, along with cable TV. The company took 7 or 8 appointments to actually install the phone.

Today I had an appointment for a phone to be installed between 11:45 and 12:45. I was a bit concerned that the afternoon was going to be a write off waiting for the phone line to be installed and that I would find it difficult to talk to the phone technician.

Well I did find it slightly difficult to talk to the phone technician, but the phone was installed really quickly and I was back in the office by 1pm.

Interestingly the main telephone company in the Czech Republic now trades under the brand O2...
